The study by García Vázquez (2020) of 3,126 Spanish youths aged 16 to 30 shows that the majority links sex work to vulnerability. 94% cited necessity, 82.6% reported being trafficking victims, 59.6% did it to pay off debts, and 58.9% had dependents. Only 9.1% viewed it as regular work. 64.2% found paying for sex unacceptable.
